Largest Line-Up Of Ministers On Stage At GITEX GLOBAL Leaders Vision
The world’s biggest tech event of the year, GITEX GLOBAL celebrates the UAE’s Golden Jubilee and Expo 2020 Dubai with yet another historic announcement. The inaugural GITEX GLOBAL Leaders Vision, a steering programme where the largest line-up of Ministers and Government leaders from Middle East & Africa will come together to catalyze the profound, progressive ambitions and digital future of the region.
GITEX GLOBAL Leaders Vision shall bring us together as nations, to celebrate, share and advance national programmes for building sustainable innovation excellence.
Taking place from 17-19 October 2021 at Dubai World Trade Centre, GITEX GLOBAL Leaders Vision is an incredible opportunity to meet, network and collaborate with an influential line-up of government officials and forge public-private partnerships.
According to the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the “inaugural Visions programme will drive and expand on the emergence of fiercely innovative economies across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Africa” with Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya expected to lead the portfolio of deliveries from Sub-Saharan Africa on tech visionary leadership. All three countries are major players in Africa’s digital space with Nigeria leading as the continent’s biggest economy with the largest population in excess of 200 million.
Nigeria is being represented by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami. Nigeria has come under positive scrutiny in the last two years for its aggressive policy thrust to accelerate transition into the digital economy. The country has also been a major player from sub-Saharan Africa in GITEX Technology Week, now touted as one of the top three influential tech and innovation events in the world.
The DWTC says the GITEX Global Visions is a “profound and influential leadership gathering ground where: “Government leaders share their visionary achievements and their aspirations for driving the progress of their countries across four dedicated days in the Government Hall at the show. “Each region has a dedicated day of high-impact topics covering their achievements. Hosted in the Government Hall of GITEX Global, in the company of over 200+ government entities on the show floor. Chance to meet, discuss and network with leading government heads, big corporation leaders and next-gen startups.”
